Tips & Tricks - Advices for our customers
Dear customers. Our bakery would like to help you with any questions regarding our products.
If you do not find the answer for your question here the best way to obtain it is to email us.
We will gradually update these information with new answers.
How many days in advance should I place my order?
For most of the orders 24 hours should be enough, but few products require longer time to prepare. When you want to place an order be sure to check on our website if your product is available in 24 hours. The time required to prepare the product can be found under each item on our website. Exemptions are visibly marked.
How big order can I place?
We do not have any limit for amount, but for some large orders extra time could be required.
Does the quantity affect the price?
You can discuss the quantity rebate before you place an order. Use our online coupon for purchases over 10$. Extra rebate can be considered only for orders over 100$. Please see manager for details.
Are there any other discounts available?
We have senior discount (10%) every Monday. We do not accept any other coupons or discounts.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard(credit and/or debit cards).
Can I buy gift certificates?
Yes, we do have gift certificates. You can ask for it our cashiers.
Do you do custom design on your cakes?
Yes. We will do anything that is possible for us to do. If you have very special requirement for the cake you should check its availability with our cake designers.
Can you put a picture on my cake?
Yes. We have technology that allows us to put any of your pictures on the cake. However the maximum size of the picture is limited by our technical equipment to 8x10 inches.
Do you have seating in the bakery?
Yes, but due to the limited space there is only one table for two persons available.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we do deliveries within 15 miles for an extra charge. Usually we can deliver to Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Trumbull, Easton, Weston, Westport and Norwalk.
Is your bakery Kosher?
Not really. We do not have certificate, but we do not use animal fat (lard). In our products we usually replace any animal fat with vegetable shortening.
I have an allergy to nuts. Are your products safe for me?
Usually we can make products without any substance you require. But we must notice that even with our best effort we can not guarantee that there could not be traces of the substance inside. We use the same equipment and space for making all our products, therefore there is a possibility of the contact with your allergen. Please make sure to tell our employees if you have any allergy.
Do you make sugar free / lactose free products?
Yes. Some of our products can be made without the sugar or milk (f.e. we make sugar free cheesecake, sugar free cookies and sugar free pies and we use lactose free whipped cream). Ask in the store for details.
What products from your bakery can I freeze?
We do not recommend freezing any products. But if you have to freeze it, you can freeze these products without major changes in taste and quality (keep in mind that nothing will taste the same after freezing and minor changes are very possible):
* Bread and rolls - close in double plastic bag for up to 7 days
* Cakes - put in double plastic bag for up to 10 days
* Cheesecakes - put in double plastic bag for up to 14 days
* Cookies - not recommended to freeze, just cover them with the plastic bag
* Pies - do not freeze, just keep them refrigerated for up to 3 days
How should I store the food? (regular daily storage)
All cakes, pastries, pies and cheesecakes ALWAYS keep covered in the refrigerator AT ALL TIMES!.
Bread and rolls keep in the plastic bag.
Cookies do not have to be covered. Keep them in the safe container.
!!! Please use your own judgement when storing and eating any food item !!! If you are not sure about the safety and edibility of the food it is better to throw it away !!!
NOTICE:
WE DO NOT MAKE ANY EGG FREE BAKED GOODS.
All cakes, pastries, breads, rolls, cookies... have whole eggs/egg whites/egg yolks (with very few exceptions).
However for a special order we can make cake (gold only) using egg substitute.
If you want to place an order, please call at least two days in advance and ask for availability.
